Erin started learning about wine during her two year stint as a professional server at one of those hip restaurants in New York City where they scoff if you aren’t wearing Sevens Jeans, and roll their eyes if you don’t spend at least $50/person. She later earned her Sommelier Certification at the American Sommelier Association. Upon moving back to Virginia to live a more normal life working for a direct marketing agency, she remained active in the wine community, and will argue passionately about the difference between a “wine snob” and a “wine geek”. She considers herself to be in the latter category.
